We Still Like It Raw is the latest EP from Poker Flat Recordings, a collection of 6 tracks from powerhouse producers such as James Dexter and Kindimmer. It is Pavel Ludin’s contribution, ‘Halo’, (taken from his own Probe EP) that has the most exciting sound. The Russian producer brings a Chicago influence to this funky release, which builds itself on a stunning bass and drum loop, over which the melody is restricted to fading, atmospheric sound rather than traditional lead lines. This approach pays off though, and the end result is a brilliant collection of absorbing sounds. -Dan Peeke
